Yes, really. Stowaway is a real, fully functional account with 1 profile, 2 devices, and 1 IPTV connection (capped at the first 100 channels of your playlist). The catch: we cap the IPTV channels at 100 to nudge heavy users toward a paid plan, and you don't get our torrent proxy. If you want the full lineup and the proxy, upgrade to Buccaneer for $10/yr.
Because you shouldn't be punished for switching between Chrome at work and Firefox at home. Real devices are hardware: your phone, your TV box, your laptop. Each gets its own session and revocation. We don't want you re-authorizing your laptop every time you reinstall Chrome, so browsers are unlimited and free.
You drop to Stowaway. Your account stays alive, your favorites and history stay attached, you just lose the features Stowaway doesn't include. You can re-upgrade at any time and pick up where you left off — we keep your data for 90 days after downgrade, then archive it.
Encrypted at rest with Fernet (AES-128-CBC + HMAC). The encryption key is stored separately from the database. We never log the key in plaintext, never display it back to you after entry, and never send it to third parties. You can rotate or revoke from Settings at any time.

The Xtream Codes (XC) path is faster and unlocks the live EPG (Electronic Program Guide) with now-playing and next-up overlays — that's what TiviMate and Smarters use.
